JAZZ MUSIC FESTIVAL
The project, designed for large and small formats was a second-year module for event branding. The project involved producing a series of deliverables for the branding of the London Jazz Festival 2021. The brief required me to produce 3 documents which included an A2 poster, an A3 flyer and a short animation clip. When it came to designing the poster and leaflet, I learnt a lot about the process and skill it requires to produce something so particular and detailed. The alignment of text boxes, different column sizes, the choice of images used etc. I had a great time learning more especially the development phase of the project. I chose to incorporate the black lives matter insignia within the designs as it was something very current and important in society. Along with that, I made a design related to music and jazz with this insignia, using the closed fist to add piano keys to replace the fingers. I wanted this to link the London Jazz Festival to the BLM insignia.
